CSR Strategy & Communication
Corporate social responsibility is a competitive factor for business success.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) consists of implementing socially responsible behaviors throughout the organization, by adopting policies and organizational practices in order to reach business targets, taking into account stakeholders’ needs and requirements.
Stakeholders’ targets together with the impact of socio-environmental practices can’t be considered apart from corporate targets but they have to be merged into a single strategic plan.
Control models based on sustainability – also considering the relationship among management and shareholders, reports and communications about sustainable practices implemented by companies – might be part of a unique management system based on social responsibility, which needs to be efficient, measurable, dialogue-oriented, open for all the parties involved and for constant maintenance and improvements.

Organizations have the chance to freely choose and adopt different tools and initiatives in order to increase the engagement, to strengthen their corporate image and to show their commitment to protect the community and company social values.
In particular, the Sustainability Report is a common example of tool usually adopted among companies of all sizes and types. It is a document that can be published following international standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and then verified by an external assurance.
As it is said before, there is a wide range of initiatives and tools for social responsibility, from corporate staff welfare plans to certifiable management systems, including the latest one for corruption prevention, based on the principle of legality and aimed at ensuring efficiency of internal processes and involvement of stakeholders.
