Description

The Occupational Continuity Programme (OCP), which includes Active Placement, is the main instrument of a social mitigation plan activated by a company which wants to restructure in a socially responsible way.

The innovative method Active Placement is focused on the active search of job opportunities consistent with the profiles involved. It’s developed and managed by Sernet, usually in collaboration with other local stakeholders (e.g. regions, business associations, districts, unions, etc.), aimed at workers hiring, under incentivated conditions and generally on an open-ended contract, by companies based in a specific area.

Main Activies

.

  • Profile and context analysis

Careful analysis of the involved profiles and the local labour market, identifying all the initiatives, measures, programmes and incentives aimed at promoting reintegration into the work market thanks to the constant monitoring of national and local incentives.

Sernet cohoperates with Public Institutions (national government and local authorities) to identify measures to increase hiring, i.e. re-training paths, self-employment or start-up.

  • Active search for job opportunities

Sernet activates the job opportunities search through networking, direct and indirect contacts, partnerships on the territory, trade associations, relations with institutions: all stakeholders become an active part of the project.

Sernet comes in contact with the potential company interested in hiring, the profiles are promoted and the project as a whole explained. It is a complex and delicate phase, in which Sernet, in its relationship with the company interested in hiring, already carries out a first firm’s solidity check and concrete interest in a long term hiring.

Sernet verifies in a punctual way the congruence between the job offers collected and the specific skills of the available workers, selects the coherent job offers and identifies the profiles to propose to the company.

  • Feedback Analysis: hiring and re-training

Sernet monitors all the company’s selection steps and keeps track of the related feedback, both positive (which could result in a hiring) and negative (which are analyzed and shared with the worker).

Following a careful analysis of the feedback received from the companies, Sernet identifies any deviations between the skills required by the market and the involved profiles skills, highlighting the gaps detected that need to be filled. Thanks to the continuous exchange of information with local institutions and training bodies, ad hoc professional retraining paths are planned together, which can be accessed through dedicated public or inter-professional funds (e.g. Fondimpresa) in order to facilitate reintegration into the work market.
