| Sernet and the Social Responsibility approach |
Sernet management consulting company, founded in 1991, is today a reference point in Italy in the management of complex business restructuring and reindustrialization projects. The innovative and distinctive approach, called Socially Responsible Restructuring, is the basis of all interventions.
In line with the Sernet commitment and approach, the process of registering the Socially Responsible Restructuringยฎ and Active Placementยฎ marks has been successfully completed, which are distinctive elements of the Sernet method that places Social Responsibility at the heart of each project.

| What is the Social Mitigation Plan? |
The Social Mitigation Plan, also provided for by art. 1, commi 224-236, of Law n. 234 of 30 December 2021, is an instrument aimed at reducing the social impact of business crises. It includes concrete measures to protect the workers involved (active policies and vocational retraining paths) and actions to promote reindustrialization and reintegration into employment.

| Social Mitigation Plan and Sernet Occupation Continuity Program |
Together with the company, the Social Mitigation Plan includes in addition to the social buffers and public and private incentives provided for in the union agreement also an Occupation Continuity Program (OCP) Managed by Sernet to promote reindustrialization and re-employment.
The PCO aims to relocate all the workers involved, either within the new production reality that will settle – through reindustrialization – or alternatively at other companies in the territory – through active placement.
The use of both instruments that make up the OCP – reindustrialization and active placement– allows to maximize the objective of reducing the social impact that situations of this type inevitably generate on the territory.
| What is reindustrialization? |
Company reindustrialization occurs in situations of closures and/or divestments of production sites, where the intervention of Sernet is aimed at relaunching economic activity through the search for a potential industrial operator interested in taking over with a focus on maximizing employment continuity.
| What is Active Placement? |
Active Placementยฎ, a distinctive Sernet tool, intervenes to support workers who have not found continuity of employment through the process of reindustrialization.
It takes the form of a targeted activity of active search for job opportunities, conducted by Sernet, with the aim of encouraging permanent employment with a similar salary at companies in the reference territory (read more about active relocation link to the article).
